Happy Father’s day Dad!
Yellow roses grow in heaven, Lord pick a bunch for me. Place them in my daddy’s arms and tell him they’re from me. Tell him that I love and miss him. When he turns to smile place a kiss upon his cheek & hold him for awhile, because …remembering him is easy, I do it every day. There’s an ache in my heart that will never go away.
ahahahah a bunch of my friends just moved to Wolseley! Oh boy… Maybe I should get them some shampoo as house warming gifts, you know, like a gentle reminder that I care. hahha
lol
It was a shocking thing to say and I knew it was a shocking thing to say. But no one has the right to live without being shocked. No one has the right to spend their life without being offended. Nobody has to read this book. Nobody has to pick it up. Nobody has to open it. And if you open it and read it, you don’t have to like it. And if you read it and you dislike it, you don’t have to remain silent about it. You can write to me, you can complain about it, you can write to the publisher, you can write to the papers, you can write your own book. You can do all those things, but there your rights stop. No one has the right to stop me writing this book. No one has the right to stop it being published, or bought, or sold or read. That’s all I have to say on that subject.
– Author Philip Pullman, when asked about the offense the title of his new novel, The Good Man Jesus and the Scoundrel Christ, would cause to “an ordinary Christian.”So here I am, making myself some delicious chili for dinner,
and I thought “Hey, this is pretty much the easiest, and most delicious recipe ever… Why not share it with the world?”
I make chili very regularly, cause it’s easy, healthy, it’s great leftovers, super easy to freeze for quick lunches to take to work, and there are minimal dishes to do afterwards!
So here it is, my no-fail, uber-delicious chili recipe!
Ingredients:
-500g of ground beef (or turkey, chicken, or pork, whatever you like!)
-Veggies: 1/2 an onion, 1/2 each of a red and green pepper, 3 stalks of celery, 6-8 large button mushrooms. All of these should be coarsely chopped.
- 1 jalapeno pepper, finely diced.
- 3 cloves of garlic, finely diced
- 1 large can of whole tomatoes (Make sure you grab the whole tomatoes, they are more flavourful than the pre-diced ones. I use a knife to cut them up a bit in the can before I dump them in.
- 1 medium sized can of red kidney beans
- 1 medium sized can of beans with pork and tomato sauce
- 1 tsp of onion powder
- 4 tsp of chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Saute the beef and onion in a large pot over medium heat, until almost no pink is left in the meat. Add the rest of the veggies and the jalapeno and saute for 3-4 mins to soften the veggies a bit.
Add the cans of tomatoes, and both beans as well as the spices. Stir it all up, and let it simmer on the stove for at least 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
I like to serve mine with some whole grain toast with a bit of butter. Yum yum!
So there you have it tumblr. Jessica’s no-fail chili recipe. You can add whatever other veggies you like, make it a little more/less spicy (this one is pretty average spiciness) but it’s a great base recipe for a delicious dinner! Enjoy!
Harry forgot that Expectrom Pupymeus should only be used in controlled sorrundings
